PERMANENT RESIDENT VISA TO CANADA
 

Permanent Residency takes the candidate one step closer to Canadian Citizenship. Permanent Residents can live, study and work in Canada and are covered under the
Canadian Law and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedom. They are also eligible for healthcare and other social welfare benefits under Canadian Law. The government of Canada opened doors for immigrants when it introduced the Express Entry Canada system in January 2015. Anyone who is accepted into the Express Entry pool could get an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence. Only the candidates who fall in the top bracket will get this ITA. The draws will be conducted every month. If the candidate has been invited to apply, the candidate will have 60 days to submit a completed Application for Permanent Residence online. After the candidate has received an Invitation to Apply and has applied for a Permanent Residency, the applicant will get the Permanent Residency Visa within 6 months.

The Federal Skilled Worker Program is for immigrants to Canada who are selected as permanent residents on the basis of their ability to economically establish themselves in Canada. The Federal Skilled Worker Program requires the applicant to be in the same job as the primary mentioned in the National Occupational Classification (NOC) during the last 10 years. It is mandatory that the job should be of Skill Type 0 or Skill Levels A or B of the 2016 NOC. The applicant should be able to prove at least one year of full-time continuous employment or equal duration in part-time or full-time at more than one job. The applicant should have writing, reading, listening, and speaking proficiency in a language, as demonstrated through a test. Those educated outside Canada need to produce an Educational Credential Assessment report from an approved agency.

 

The Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) is for those who want to immigrate to Canada based on their proficiency in a skilled trade. The basic eligibility for this program is: - A minimum of two years’ full-time work experience in an eligible skilled trade
- Minimum language levels in English or French
- An offer of full-time employment for a total of at least one year; or
- A certificate of qualification in the skilled trade issued by a province or territory.
The new system for the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) will replace the current first-come, first-served application process. The process of applying for immigration under the Quebec Skilled Worker program consists of the following steps:
- Submission of an Expression of Interest to settle in Quebec and entry into Quebec’s Expression of Interest Bank.
- Successful selection from the Quebec Expression of Interest Bank results in an invitation to - apply for the QSWP.
- Submission of an application for a Quebec Selection Certificate to the MIDI.
- Submission of a Canadian permanent residence application to the Federal Government.
After submitting an Expression of Interest to MIDI, candidates will be entered into the Quebec Expression of Interest Bank. The candidates confirming the requirements, cut-off thresholds, and passing scores for the program will be considered for selection.

Federal Business Immigration
Self-employed immigrants must have relevant experience within the five-year period immediately preceding the date of application. Relevant experience in respect of a self-employed person means that for at least two years in the period beginning five years before the date of application:

Quebec Investor Program: To qualify as an investor, an individual must have a net worth of at least CAD 2 Million have managerial experience, and be willing to make a secured investment of CAD120,000 for a period of 5 years. Investment of CAD 12,00,000 is refundable after 5 years without any interest. However, the investment can be made at a lower amount with an agreement with a financial intermediator in Canada i.e. CAD 350,000 and balance by the bank. It is non-refundable.
